Kenan & Kel back at it – But will Good Burger survive their antics?
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are back in action as the iconic duo reunites in the first trailer for Good Burger 2.
Twenty-six years after the original, the beloved pair jump back into their roles as Dexter and Ed. Set to unfold at the infamous fast-food joint, Phil Traill directs this nostalgia-packed sequel which introduces a fresh batch of faces joining the staff.
The plotline dishes out Dexter’s misfortunes after another invention flops. Ed, ever the loyal friend, welcomes him back to Good Burger, handing over his former job. Dexter crafts a scheme to regain his footing as they navigate the world with a new team. But, predictably, he might jeopardise Good Burger’s future yet again.
The trailer throws us a curveball, hinting at some hilarious encounters: picture a hyper Ed colliding his vehicle into Dexter, causing chaos in a rival eatery.
The film’s ensemble boasts a mix of old and new. Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, and Carmen Electra return as Fizz, Connie, and Roxanne. Meanwhile, new entrants to the Good Burger world include Lil Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, Kamaia Fairburn, and others. The screenplay springs from the minds of Kevin Kopelow, Heath Seifert, and James III.
On revisiting the nostalgic setting, Kenan didn’t hide his enthusiasm. “It’s staggering to think it’s been over 25 years since we championed impeccable customer service at Good Burger!” He voiced his pride in the legacy and his excitement to reunite with Kel, teasing fans about what’s in store for the characters after all these years.
