Comedian and actor Ricky Gervais recently updated fans on his health after falling ill before a performance earlier this week. The ailment had left him struggling to walk and deprived of sleep.

He directly addressed his 15 million followers, “I was a bit under the weather on stage last night but I got through it. Then I didn’t sleep due to coughing, sweating, shivering. Felt even worse today. Could hardly walk. “Also, my teeth feel too big for my mouth. What the f*g Christ sort of symptom is that? Roll on death.”

Then, in a following update on Wednesday morning, Gervais revealed he was recovering. He expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thanks for all your ‘get well soon’ wishes. They worked.
“I feel a lot better today. That’s the last time I eat sweet and sour bat before a gig.”

Ricky Gervais told fans that he is now on the mend after falling ill just before the Birmingham gig this week.

Many of Ricky’s fans immediately posted their reactions in response to this news. One responded with, “Glad you’re feeling better Ricky.” A second shared his happiness by saying, “Good to see you’re at your best again, Ricky!” and another chimed in with, “Glad you’re on the mend!!! Look after yourself.”

Currently, the creator of Afterlife is touring Europe with his Armageddon show, making stops in cities like London, Berlin, and Copenhagen. Adding to the excitement, Netflix has purchased the rights to these performances and plans to broadcast them once the tour concludes.

Fans were relieved to hear that Ricky is now on the mend.

Moreover, just a few weeks ago, Gervais achieved a significant milestone. He broke the record for the highest-grossing single stand-up performance ever with his gig at America’s Hollywood Bowl, generating a staggering £1,410,000. This noteworthy accomplishment followed reports suggesting that he had upped his security due to death threats over his controversial jokes.

Addressing these speculations, Ricky quickly clarified the situation on Twitter. He posted, “Haven’t increased security. My tour started a year ago. Haven’t had any death threats.
“Apart from that, this story is spot on,” accompanied by a crying with laughter emoji.
