A good old-fashioned British surprise arrived at the Little Devil’s Café on Terrace Road, Aberystwyth. Comedy legend Russell Howard sauntered in for a spot of brunch. Not just content with satisfying his appetite, the UK’s comedy golden boy gave the overwhelmed staff eight free tickets to his sold-out show.

“He’s a top bloke!” gushed staff member Sam Cook. “One of the kindest souls to walk through our doors, and that’s saying something!”

Russell’s visit sent the café’s staff into a flutter, as he was the first celeb to visit under the current owners. Over the past four years, the café has garnered rave reviews for its outstanding food and service.

For those living under a rock, Howard shot to fame on the BBC Panel show ‘Mock the Week’ and later, the hit ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’. Currently, he’s doing the rounds on his UK and Ireland tour, with most dates already chock-a-block.

The Aberystwyth gig is Russell’s last in Wales, with our café staff attending. Next, he’s performing in the Isle of Man and the London Palladium, finishing his UK tour in January. Subsequently, he’ll soon embark on a global tour, starting with stops in the USA. He will then move on to Dubai, followed by Australia, and finally conclude in New Zealand.
