On ITV1’s Lorraine back in April, Corden spoke openly about his friendship with Ruth Jones but stayed secretive about the show’s revival talks. He shared how fans often asked about Gavin & Stacey’s return, particularly about Smithy and Nessa’s fate.

Besides, Corden’s stance remained cautious yet hopeful. He emphasised the creators’ commitment to delivering content that would not disappoint their loyal audience. As he put it, “Gavin & Stacey… Look, Ruth’s one of my best friends, I’m going to see her. I don’t know if we’ll talk about it.

“I saw her at Christmas and we didn’t talk even really mention it, if I’m honest. It didn’t even come up. We were talking about so much other stuff,” he said. Overall, fans remain in suspense, eager of any news of a Gavin & Stacey revival, and for now, they will have to keep on hoping for that good news they are longing for.
