During an uncomfortable encounter, Oasis guitarist Noel managed to avoid a face-to-face encounter with his nephew, Liam’s son Lennon, at a social event. After headlining the South Facing Festival in Crystal Palace, South London, on Friday, the frontman of High Flying Birds made his way to the upscale Chiltern Firehouse in the West End.

Shortly afterwards, Lennon arrived at the same venue, prompting a hasty departure from his well-known uncle.

A source disclosed, “Noel and his daughter Anais went to Chiltern Firehouse for a celebratory night out following his show. However, the atmosphere shifted when Lennon showed up. The situation was uncomfortable and they wanted to avoid any potential conflict.”

“It’s common knowledge that Noel and Liam’s relationship is strained, and this extends to their children. Liam’s children, Lennon and Gene, have previously made derogatory comments about Noel and Anais, so they were understandably not thrilled to see him there.”

“Less than an hour after Lennon arrived, Noel and Anais left and headed home. Thankfully, the situation didn’t escalate.”

Lennon, carrying a guitar, generally maintained a decent demeanour regarding his estranged family members. However, in 2017, he did make a sarcastic comment directed at Anais, a photographer and model. Anais had posted on Twitter, “I need love today. I’m feeling super fragile and basically need a boyfriend. But keep reminding myself I’m too embarrassed to get one!”

Lennon replied with sarcasm, saying, “Really?”

But his younger brother Gene was even harsher, making derogatory remarks about Anais’ appearance in a barely literate manner. After she attended a Tommy Hilfiger fashion show as a guest, he tweeted, “Firstly, u look like ur dad w a blonde wig on… Secondly, u model coz u look like ur dad not coz of who u are nobody care about who u are lmao.”

Noel and Liam have not communicated since their major falling out in 2009, which marked the demise of their superstar band. However, they continue to exchange a barrage of insults.

This year, considerable speculation has been about the possible thawing of relations between the two brothers and a potential Oasis reunion. Yet, based on credible sources, such a reunion is unlikely anytime soon.

And judging by this recent encounter, the families are not inclined to mend their relationships either.
