Fans of Peter Kay have been expressing their surprise at the comedian’s appearance in a recent video alongside musician Bryan Edery. The video, filmed backstage after one of Peter’s gigs, has sparked a wave of comments from fans who have said that the comedian is almost unrecognisable in comparison to his well-known image.
A video recently surfaced on Instagram, capturing a moment with Peter Kay at London’s O2 Arena. In the clip, the comedian can be seen sporting a black tracksuit and humorously mentioning his plans to indulge in “two lamb bhunas” after the show.
Bryan captions the post: “I was fortunate enough to be invited by my good friends to see Peter Kay’s amazing show at the O2. And then very lucky to meet the man himself backstage. Go and see Peter’s show, it’s incredible.”
Fans of the comedian expressed their astonishment at his transformed appearance. Taking to the comments section, one fan remarked, “He looks much healthier than he’s ever looked.”
Another fan chimed in, stating, “He looks as fit as a fiddle and very healthy.”
Meanwhile, a third fan expressed their surprise, saying, “I wouldn’t have recognised him.”
Speaking in a statement at the time, he said: “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now”.
“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010”.
In addition to his upcoming nationwide arena tour, Peter Kay has exciting news for his fans.
He has announced that he will be embarking on a monthly residency at the O2 starting from December 2022.
The comedian will take to the stage at the venue once a month, beginning on Friday 16th December 2022, and concluding on Saturday 18th November 2023.
