Meghan Markle has been accused of orchestrating paparazzi images and allegedly informing the media about her whereabouts, but a photographer has now come forward to shed light on the truth behind these claims. Meghan Markle is frequently accused of “tipping off” paparazzi to arrange staged photographs, but one photographer has refuted these allegations.
The Duchess of Sussex was recently seen smiling for cameras while she leisurely walked around her nearby farmers’ market. her husband, Prince Harry, seemed to have stayed at home, Meghan was accompanied by a security guard and her beloved beagle. Photographer Jill Ishkanian captured the 41-year-old during the outing, who asserted that Meghan “absolutely does not” inform her about her whereabouts.
“No one calls me, trust me. I have absolutely no support, I do everything by myself. It’s a total pain in the butt when you get their picture, to be totally honest,” Jill said. She disclosed that she spotted Meghan at the farmers’ market while attempting to get pictures of Katy Perry’s father.
“I saw a pink and white striped golf cart with Katy Perry’s dad holding flowers, standing next to it, talking to someone,” she said.
Jill initially suspected that it was Meghan chatting with Katy’s father until to realised that it was the Duchess’ bodyguard.
In an interview with Newsweek, the photographer explained how she snapped a photo of Meghan; she decided to use her phone instead of her long-lens camera. “I picked up my iPhone; I knew if I picked up a big camera, she’s trouble,” Jill added.
This is not the first time Meghan has been accused of arranging paparazzi shots. One book claimed that she used to leak information to the press before joining the Royal Family. However, this allegedly changed once she met Harry. The book, “Finding Freedom,” authored by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, stated: “While Meghan before she met Harry, had occasionally arranged a paparazzi photo here and there or let info slip out to the press, she did everything in her power to protect the privacy of her relationship with the prince. She knew that keeping things quiet meant they could get to know each other without the pressure of further worries from reporters covering and commenting on their burgeoning romance.”
According to the authors, Meghan felt a sense of “relief” when the media eventually discovered her relationship with Harry, as she had been compelled to keep it a secret from her family and friends.
